Cookie Policy

Version 1.0.0 · effective 10 July 2019

1. Who we are

This Cookie Policy explains how Nabogo ApS (“Nabogo”, “we”, “our”, “us”) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on our website (https://www.nabogo.com) and in the Nabogo mobile application (together, the “Service”). It complements our Privacy Policy, which describes how we process personal data more generally.

The data controller is:

Nabogo ApS, CVR-39404060, Lysholt Allé 8, 7100 Vejle, Denmark, ‘anders [at] nabogo.com’.

2. What cookies and similar technologies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device when you visit it. Cookies let the site recognise your device on later visits and remember information such as your language preference or whether you are signed in.

In the Nabogo mobile application we use comparable technologies — including device identifiers, locally stored preferences, and software development kits (SDKs) from third parties — that serve similar purposes to cookies. Where this policy says “cookies” it also covers these equivalent technologies in the app, unless we say otherwise.

3. Why we use cookies

We use cookies for the following purposes:

Strictly necessary cookies are required for the Service to work. They enable core functions such as authentication, session management, security, and routing of traffic. These cannot be switched off without breaking parts of the Service.

Functional cookies remember choices you have made — for example your preferred language or region — and enable enhanced features.

Statistical / analytics cookies help us understand how the Service is used so we can improve it. The data collected is generally aggregated and pseudonymised.

Marketing cookies are used to make advertising more relevant to you, including on third-party websites and platforms. Some of these are set by our advertising partners rather than by us directly.

The current, up-to-date list of the specific cookies and similar technologies in use on our website — including their names, purposes, durations, and the third parties that set them — is available in the cookie consent panel on our site, grouped by the categories above. You can open it at any time via the Cookie settings link in the website footer.

For cookies and trackers that are not strictly necessary (functional, statistics, and marketing), we rely on your consent. This is in line with the EU ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, “GDPR”), and the applicable national implementations in the markets we operate in.

You give consent through our cookie banner the first time you visit our website, and you can change or withdraw it at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew it.

For strictly necessary cookies, we rely on the legal basis that they are required to deliver the Service you have requested. These do not require consent.

You can review or change your choices at any time:

  • On our website: click Cookie settings in the footer to reopen the consent panel and adjust your preferences.
  • In your browser: most browsers let you view, delete, or block cookies through their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent parts of nabogo.com from working as intended.
  • On your mobile device: you can control advertising identifiers (IDFA on iOS, Android Advertising ID on Android) through your device’s privacy or advertising settings.

For general information about cookies and how to manage them, see your local data protection authority’s website, or resources such as https://www.allaboutcookies.org.

6. Third parties and international transfers

Some cookies and tracking technologies are placed by third-party services we use — for example analytics providers, payment service providers, and advertising partners. These third parties act as independent controllers or as our processors for the data they collect; their use of cookies is governed by their own policies. The current list of third parties and their cookies is visible in the consent panel on our website.

Some of these third parties may process data outside the EU/EEA. Where this is the case, we rely on the safeguards described in our Privacy Policy, including the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.

7. Your rights

You have a number of rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, the right to object to certain processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority in the EU/EEA. These rights, and how to exercise them, are described in our Privacy Policy.

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use, in applicable law, or in our practices. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when this page was most recently changed. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
