You can receive a subsidy as a driver or passenger when you ride with schoolmates and colleagues. Most drivers don’t charge anything on top of the subsidy, so many passengers ride completely free.
Benefits vary per partner area. See our Benefits guide for the full list of what’s available where you live.
There are two pricing tiers based on the length of the ride:
Examples: a 5 km ride costs 15 kr, and a 15 km ride costs 20 kr (15 kr for the first 10 km + 5 kr for the next 5 km).
The subsidy covers the 15 kr fixed price for the first 10 km:
Most drivers simply charge the subsidy amount only.
Example: a 5 km ride costs 15 kr, fully covered by the subsidy — the passenger rides free. A 15 km ride costs 20 kr; the subsidy covers the 15 kr fixed portion, and the driver may charge 5 kr for the remaining 5 km.
The subsidy is only active in areas where local partners fund it. See the Benefits guide for which areas are supported. In areas without subsidy, the passenger pays the standard ride price — unless the driver has chosen not to charge.
Drivers can choose whether to charge extra for a trip — not how much. They either charge nothing beyond what the subsidy provides, or they charge the standard ride price for the portion not covered.
Example: in an area with a 15 kr subsidy, a 15 km ride costs the passenger 5 kr if the driver has charging turned on, or 0 kr if the driver has chosen not to charge.
If you did not get benefits for a trip, it could be due to:
The trip was not ended correctly
The trip was not long enough
Specific local rules apply
In some cases very specific rules apply to calculate whether the trip is eligible for benefits or not. Check the Benefits guide or contact us if you are in doubt.
If you did not get the payout you expected, it could be due to:
Timing of payout
You already clicked “Payout”
Wrong bank account
Vouchers cannot be paid out
If you can’t find a meeting point you need, you can request a new one. Contact support with the address and a short description of the location.
If the app shows only public transport options and no carpool rides, it usually means there are no nabogo drivers available on your route at the requested time.
